Responsibilities

Lead and motivate store associates by setting clear expectations and fostering a positive work environment.
Ensure exceptional customer service by training and coaching staff to deliver outstanding shopping experiences.
Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, implement sales strategies, and track key performance indicators.
Manage inventory levels by overseeing ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment while minimizing stock losses.
Maintain an attractive store layout and merchandising displays to enhance customer engagement.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security measures.
Support team development by providing training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Resolve customer concerns or operational issues efficiently and professionally.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Assist with preparing reports on sales, inventory, and store performance, offering insights for continuous improvement.
Contribute to store planning, merchandising, promotional campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
Handle administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, payroll management, and record-keeping.
Maintain store cleanliness and organization to ensure an inviting shopping environment.
Act as a key support to the Store Manager, stepping in when required and assisting in executing store strategies.
Qualifications

Grade 12
Minimum of 3 years of retail experience
Previous management experience is advantageous
Strong sales and service management skills
Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
Proficiency in computer systems
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of retail trade, customer engagement, and product merchandising
