Mr Price Vacancies – Assistant Store Manager Mr Price Cellular
The Assistant Store Manager at Mr Price Cellular supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure sales targets, customer service standards, and overall store objectives are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
Stock Management:
- Ensure stock is received, unpacked, and merchandised to replenish the sales floor.
- Monitor and manage stock levels using defined processes, including stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans to minimize risk.
- Maintain the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
- Assist with authorizing write-offs, breakages, recalls, out-of-box failures (OBF), cellular repairs, and returns.
Sales Growth & Profitability:
- Analyze sales and profitability reports to collaborate on operational action plans, improve sales performance, and manage store expenditure.
- Monitor in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support center to drive sales.
- Identify opportunities for increased sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing and competitor analysis.
- Drive performance in credit, insurance, mobile, and cellular services to meet budgeted targets.
Risk Management:
- Support the Store Manager in conducting compliance checks such as admin audits, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health and safety checks, weekly hanger counts, and security measures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Customer Experience Management:
- Implement customer experience initiatives, including markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, and housekeeping.
- Maintain high service standards to enhance the overall shopping experience.
Leadership & Development:
- Assist in leading and motivating the store team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational goals in alignment with company values.
- Identify training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Support recruitment and performance management in line with company policies.
Qualifications
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ retail experience (management experience is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of sales and service management.
- Budgeting skills and proficiency in computer applications.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of retail trade, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance products.
