BUCO is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to drive growth and profitability by overseeing daily store operations, maximizing sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role is essential for maintaining a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked store, as well as supporting and developing the team to meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage store operations to support continuity, growth, and profitability through cost control and sales maximization.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and implement creative strategies to increase sales.
- Ensure stock is managed effectively in line with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised retail space, with accurate product, shelf, and bulk display pricing.
- Assist with end-of-day till operations, including reconciling and preparing for the next business day.
- Lead, inspire, motivate, and develop team members to meet store objectives while fostering a positive work environment.
- Apply company policies and best practices to maintain a cohesive and harmonious team dynamic.
- Monitor and enhance sales staff performance through coaching and feedback.
- Ensure customer complaints are resolved effectively, and coordinate in-store promotions and advertising to boost the brand’s market presence.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Higher Certificate or Diploma.
- At least 4 years of experience in a retail environment, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Intermediate computer skills.
