Job Overview
BUCO is seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Store Manager to join our Parklands team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the store’s growth, profitability, and operational efficiency while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the store’s continuity, growth, and profitability by managing costs and maximizing sales turnover. Identify new business opportunities and implement innovative strategies to enhance sales.
  • Ensure stock management aligns with company policies and procedures, maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Keep the retail area clean, organized, and well-merchandised, ensuring compliance with pricing standards for products, shelves, and bulk displays.
  • Assist in daily till operations, including calculating and preparing the expected till contents for the next day.
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead the store team to achieve objectives, applying company policies and best practices to maintain a harmonious workplace.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of sales staff, ensuring effective resolution of customer complaints.
  • Coordinate promotions, advertising, and public relations efforts to strengthen the brand’s market presence.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to analyze operational data, identifying success areas and addressing challenges in the business.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Higher Certificate or Diploma in Retail or Business Management (preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant retail experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Intermediate computer skills
