Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Management, preferably within retail or the on-demand industry
  • Prior experience in the retail environment and line management is advantageous

  • Leadership: Strong team-building and people management skills
  • Organizational skills: Excellent prioritization and planning abilities
  • Technical proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Analytical: Ability to assess performance metrics and drive improvements

Key Responsibilities:

People Management

  • Lead and support store staff, including pickers and online supervisors, ensuring clear communication and reporting structures
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and productivity to meet operational needs
  • Foster a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee relations matters
  • Control people-related costs, including leave and overtime, to meet budgetary guidelines

Coaching & Mentoring

  • Implement training programs to enhance team knowledge and skills
  • Mentor team members to support their career growth and operational effectiveness

Operations

  • Oversee daily store operations to meet KPIs, ensuring productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies, maintaining high service standards
  • Manage the launch plan for new store openings, meeting all launch requirements
  • Conduct regular store visits to identify and resolve operational or behavioral issues
  • Provide administrative support to the OPS Head, ensuring SOP, policy, and procedural adherence
  • Lead daily meetings and check-ins with teams to align on priorities and address any challenges

Recruitment and Hiring

  • Manage hiring processes, including candidate assessments and interviews
  • Oversee onboarding tasks for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the team

Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance and workforce metrics
  • Facilitate clear communication within the team and across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals
