Job Description:
Buco is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our team in Montague Gardens. The successful candidate will provide crucial support to the Buyer in managing inventory, supplier relationships, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist the Buyer with all administrative functions, including providing analytical, operational, and clerical support.
- Order Management: Accurately place orders and complete all related paperwork to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Brand Code Management: Create and manage brand names and codes for customers.
- Stock Management: Oversee the ordering, storage, tracking, and control of inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Price Negotiations: Engage in price negotiations with suppliers where applicable to ensure competitive pricing.
- Supplier Coordination: Assist in arranging supplier deliveries and build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to support the buying function.
- Uphold Company Values: Promote and embody the company values and culture in all interactions and duties.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Buying Administration, with a deep understanding of retail business principles.
- Skills: High level of proficiency in a computerized retail environment.
- Other: Own transport and a valid driver’s license are essential.
