Fidelity Vacancies – Area Manager (Industry equivalent to a Operations Manager)

A vacancy is available for an Area Manager, reporting to the Regional Manager. This role is responsible for managing multiple Operations Managers and overseeing key areas, including client relations, HR/IR matters, fleet management, expense control, investigations, and ensuring compliance with all site security requirements. The primary objective is to maintain high service standards and meet client needs efficiently and professionally.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • PSIRA Grade A registration
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transport
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the security industry
  • At least 5 years in operational security management
  • Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency
  • Proven staff management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • No criminal record or pending cases
  • Strong planning, administration, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships between Fidelity Security Services and clients regarding security services
  • Manage designated areas to ensure contractual requirements are met
  • Ensure all security officers comply with client and contractual standards
  • Continuously evaluate service levels and recommend improvements
  • Supervise and manage security personnel to maintain performance standards
  • Handle administrative tasks efficiently
  • Communicate daily with management on operational matters
  • Address HR-related concerns promptly and enforce disciplinary measures as required
  • Ensure timely submission of employment forms to the regional office
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly incident and operational reports
  • Conduct incident investigations and report findings
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 requirements
