We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to oversee our Flagship Canal Walk Clothing store. As an Area Manager, you will lead a dedicated team, drive growth, and maintain the highest standards of service and performance. This role involves optimizing processes, implementing strategies, and ensuring operational excellence within the store.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (matric)/N3 equivalent/Clothing degree
- 5-8 years of experience as an Area Manager, ideally within the clothing retail sector
- Strong knowledge of merchandising principles and fashion
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Computer literacy required; SAP knowledge is advantageous for running, analyzing, and interpreting reports

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of managers and crew in the Flagship store
- Implement strategies to drive business performance and achieve targets
- Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to company policies
- Analyze performance metrics and develop actionable improvement plans
- Oversee recruiting, managing, and training of staff
- Manage stocktake planning and processes
- Handle disciplinary actions and employee relations cases
- Ensure administrative, trade, and people checks are aligned with business standards
- Foster a positive and productive work environment
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards and monitor staff appearance
- Oversee new line merchandising according to dispatch guidelines
- Ensure effective total range display and store housekeeping standards
- Monitor and uphold customer service standards
- Identify training needs and coach staff
- Communicate expected standards and processes to managers and crew
- Approve store Kronos schedules and monitor overtime costs
- Ensure adherence to promotion, display, and general maintenance standards
