Spar Vacancies – Admin Clerk – Retail Finance

Introduction:
SPAR South Rand is seeking a qualified Admin Clerk – Retail Finance to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Retail Operations Manager (ROM) by providing accurate financial data to help drive retail profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with the Retail Operations team, Retailers, and Managers.
  • Pull and analyze SIGMA reports for benchmarking purposes.
  • Capture financial information, variance reports, and sales data for direct benchmark stores.
  • Compile and accurately capture income statements for all direct stores.
  • Allocate expenses and non-scan sales from SIGMA and income statements into the correct areas of benchmarks.
  • Perform Excel calculations for averages, gross profits, ratios, and other financial metrics using income statements and SIGMA reports.
  • Analyze and explain variances in benchmarks, comparing the latest period to previous ones.
  • Create and manage Excel spreadsheets related to benchmarks.
  • Ensure accuracy in all dashboards and reports for final benchmarks.
  • Take meeting minutes and provide general administrative support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong business acumen and financial skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Level 3 Excel and SIGMA.
