Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable Specialist
IQVIA is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Track and manage all payments and expenditures, including invoices, purchase orders, statutory payments, payroll disbursements, and employee claims.
- Process outgoing payments efficiently while adhering to financial policies and procedures.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to ensure accurate posting of invoices and payments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.
- Maintain historical financial records with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist in bank and cash management processes, including manual payments.
- Manage and update vendor master data.
- Prepare and process monthly accruals and ad-hoc journal entries.
- Generate financial reports to analyze accounts payable status and support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounts payable processes and regulations.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and financial software (SAP, PeopleSoft ERP is a plus).
- Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
