Mr Price Vacancies – Accountant Mr Price Money

Mr Price Money is looking for an Accountant to maintain financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support business operations with accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Account Management – Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile general ledger accounts. Process month-end journals and produce error-free accounting reports. Analyze financial data, oversee tax audits and returns, and ensure compliance with internal and external audits. Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
• Reporting – Maintain financial records in compliance with policies. Assist the Financial Manager with closing general ledger accounts, preparing trial balances, and delivering monthly reports. Compile VAT and statistical reports and support year-end accounts for external audits. Prepare statutory packs and provide financial analysis.
• Accounts Receivable Management – Reconcile debtors’ accounts and address ledger queries.
• Other Duties – Approve month-end and ad hoc payments, prepare statutory financial statements, and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience

• Accounting degree.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience (completed articles advantageous).
• Retail accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of DAX, ERP systems, and financial services.
