Buco Vacancies – Accountant – GBM – Shared Services

Job Overview:
BUCO is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant – GBM – Shared Services to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key financial processes, including trial balances, monthly journals, and VAT returns, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Trial Balances and ensure their accuracy
  • Process Monthly Journals and ensure they are correctly allocated
  • Oversee the Fixed Asset Register and ensure asset tracking is up to date
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Compile and analyze Monthly Management Accounts
  • Handle Banking and Cash Management processes
  • Review and distribute Financial Reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit accurate VAT Returns in compliance with regulations
  • Uphold and promote the company’s values and culture

Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • BCom/BCompt Degree (preferably with articles)

Skills:

  • Strong sense of Accountability and ability to execute tasks independently
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail
  • Proficiency in Computer Literacy
  • Deadline-driven and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Effective Time Management
  • Excellent Communication Skills

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Kerridge system is advantageous
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
