Buco Vacancies – Accountant – Airport Industria

Job Overview:
Buco is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Airport Industria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trial Balances: Manage and review trial balances for accuracy.
  • Monthly Journals: Process and record monthly journals.
  • Fixed Assets: Oversee and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Management Accounts: Compile and prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Banking and Cash Management: Handle banking transactions and cash management.
  • Financial Reports: Review, prepare, and distribute financial reports.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Company Values: Uphold and promote the company’s values and culture.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Grade 12
    • BCom/BCompt Degree (articles preferred)
  • Skills:
    • Accountability and execution
    • Attention to detail
    • Computer literacy
    • Deadline-driven
    • Time management
    • Good communication skills
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of experience in a similar role
    • Kerridge knowledge (advantageous)
