Job Description:

MTN seeks a motivated and results-driven Account Manager – Commercial Operations to drive revenue growth and expand market share. This role focuses on identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, ensuring seamless handover to the Farmer Account Manager, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while adhering to MTN’s values and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Profitable Growth

  • Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets through new customer acquisitions.
  • Strategically target new business opportunities using methods like cold calling, lead generation, and trade shows.
  • Provide input for operational and promotional plans to foster revenue growth.
  • Identify market trends and recommend strategies to leverage growth opportunities.

Account Management

  • Manage escalated customer issues and provide resolutions or escalate as required.
  • Strengthen MTN’s brand presence by building robust relationships with accounts.
  • Prepare account performance reports and monitor competitor activity to identify growth areas.

Customer Experience Excellence

  • Address and resolve customer queries within SLA timelines.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality services and meeting specifications.

Governance and Quality Control

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and MTN policies.
  • Maintain high-quality standards to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Manage risks, compliance, and contract obligations efficiently.

Business Analysis and Innovation

  • Conduct business analyses to optimize processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Propose innovative solutions to meet evolving customer and market needs.

Requirements:

Education:

  • A 3-year degree/diploma in Commerce (Financial, Marketing, Communication) or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in Account Management, preferably in a fast-moving, competitive industry.
  • ICT or telecommunications experience is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in large enterprises is preferred.
