Responsibilities:
- Research financial advice-related matters to support client reports and Records of Advice
- Collaborate with financial advisors and the administration manager to draft Records of Advice
- Assist with compliance duties and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Support the client review process and verify accuracy of policy schedules and reports
- Communicate with financial advisors, service providers, clients, and team members
- Conduct research, gather data, and help establish advice and administration processes
- Aid senior advisors in preparing financial plans and investment strategies
- Analyze client financial data and generate recommendations for planning
- Attend client meetings and manage follow-up tasks
- Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and regulations
- Participate in training to enhance financial advisory knowledge
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Progress toward relevant certifications (PGDip Financial Planning, CFP®)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience at a CAT I FSP (investments, insurance, employee benefits, medical aid, gap cover)
- Strong knowledge of investment-related financial advice
- Excellent interpersonal skills and passion for financial planning and client service
- Full-Time availability (08h00–16h30) at our Morningside, Durban office
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of FAIS, FICA, and financial services regulations
- Understanding of compliance documentation and financial advice processes
- Proficiency in financial planning administration and operations
- Strong teamwork and reliability in a dynamic environment
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, financial planning software, CRM systems)
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and strong analytical abilities
- Problem-solving skills to drive business solutions
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving client and team needs
