What will you do?
Are you an experienced Change Management & Agile Leader ready to take on a transformative role at Santam, South Africa’s leading short-term insurer?
This senior leadership position is integral to driving Santam’s digital transformation journey. You will partner with key stakeholders and sponsors to deliver impactful change across the Santam Group and its Intermediary and Tied Agent network. As the Head of Change Management & Agile Transformation, you will lead a team of Change Managers in executing Santam’s 2025 strategic vision.
Your role includes building a sustainable, best-in-class capability for business change, ensuring Santam can execute its strategy with agility and competitive advantage. You will spearhead the adoption of Agile methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Management: Develop and implement enterprise-wide strategies to drive transformation, ensuring stakeholder alignment, change adoption, and sustainable business outcomes.
- Agile Transformation: Lead the design and scaling of Agile practices, coaching teams to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and adaptability.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Influence executive leaders, manage a high-performing team, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Performance & Governance: Measure effectiveness, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with Santam’s change and Agile frameworks.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with executives to align transformation priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing change and Agile team.
- Strengthen cross-functional partnerships to enhance execution.
Performance & Continuous Improvement:
- Define KPIs to track change and Agile success.
- Proactively address resistance and emerging risks.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory shifts.
- Ensure adherence to Santam’s financial and risk policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years in change management, Agile transformation, or business strategy (insurance/financial services preferred).
- Expertise in Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and change frameworks (Prosci, ADKAR).
- Proven leadership in large-scale transformations.
