Position Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Installation Assistant Technician to support the installation of alarm, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems. This role involves assisting technicians, handling cabling, performing basic installations, and ensuring systems are tested and operational.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• At least 1 year of experience as a wireman or in a similar role
• Practical knowledge of electrical and electronic systems is advantageous
• PSIRA registration (Grade C) is advantageous

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Practical technical aptitude with cabling, drilling, and equipment handling

Main Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with the installation of alarm and security systems
• Remove old equipment from client premises as needed
• Run new cabling, apply glue, drill holes, and mount detectors, panels, contacts, and lights
• Report any equipment or tool limitations to the technician
• Provide input on cabling requirements for installations
• Support technicians with user functions and handovers
• Ensure vehicles and client premises are clean and tidy after installations

Performance Expectations

• Assist installations efficiently and safely, adhering to company standards
• Maintain organization and readiness of tools and equipment
• Support the successful completion of installations and client handovers
