Banking Administrator

Dischem Vacancies is seeking a detail-oriented Banking Administrator to join the Head Office team on a fixed-term contract. The role is responsible for accurately loading supplier payments on banking systems in line with company procedures while maintaining precise financial records and supporting effective vendor and internal communication.

Key Responsibilities

Banking & Payment Processing

• Accurately load all supplier and company banking payments
• Verify and capture new beneficiary details on the banking system
• Ensure all payments are processed within agreed timelines and standards

Financial Administration

• Post deposit and final payment invoices to the relevant vendor accounts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date perpetual inventory records
• Balance company codes and fixed asset registers against the general ledger

Communication & Stakeholder Support

• Communicate regularly with internal teams and vendors regarding payment batches
• Build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in fixed assets and banking systems

Advantageous

• Experience working on SAP
• Relevant accounting qualification

• Strong knowledge of fixed assets and banking programs
• Good financial accounting skills
• High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills
• Trustworthy, honest, diligent, and self-motivated
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

Advantageous

• Previous experience on banking systems
• Ability to speak an additional language
