Position Overview
As a Fleet Operations Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of our fleet, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and compliance with safety and industry standards. Your strategic approach will drive cost savings, efficiency gains, and continuous improvement across our fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fleet management strategies, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal plans.
- Oversee daily fleet operations to ensure vehicle availability, reliability, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize fleet uptime.
- Collaborate with drivers, mechanics, and internal teams to resolve operational challenges and enhance performance.
- Track and analyze fleet KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and implement data-driven solutions.
- Conduct compliance audits for vehicle registrations, licensing, and insurance adherence.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, evaluate service quality, and optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Implement fuel management programs, monitor consumption, and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Lead training initiatives on safe driving practices, regulatory compliance, and fleet best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and technological advancements in fleet management.
Qualifications
- Degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 years of proven fleet management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of fleet operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software, GPS tracking, and related tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage cross-functional teams.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid Code 10 license with a clean driving record.
