Job Description
We’re hiring a Data Centre Lead – MEA to oversee our data center business across key markets: KSA, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and South Africa. Split between technical delivery (70%) and business growth (30%), this role requires travel to the Middle East, Europe, and industry events.
As Project and Design Manager, you’ll lead hyperscale data center projects—from due diligence and master planning to detailed design and construction. You’ll liaise with clients, mentor technical teams, and expand our multidisciplinary services while elevating revenue and service standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end data center design projects (architecture, MEP, civil, security).
- Build trusted client relationships and develop technical/financial proposals.
- Ensure quality through peer reviews and adherence to AECOM standards.
- Oversee basis of design, localization, and scope management.
- Lead client/stakeholder meetings and resolve project challenges.
- Grow and mentor AECOM’s data center design team.
- Implement MEA market strategies using global resources.
- Collaborate with regional/global leaders to optimize project delivery.
- Drive client presentations, Contract management, and KPIs (revenue, margin, quality).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Science (Master’s preferred).
- 12+ years in the Built Environment, ideally in data centers.
- Professional registration with ECSA (advantageous).
