What will you do?
As a Short-term Insurance Adviser, you will provide professional financial advice, planning, and tailored products to both new and existing clients. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Growing the Sanlam Adviser Business

    • Drive sales and business growth aligned with distribution strategies.
    • Apply market segmentation insights to optimise client acquisition.
    • Achieve revenue targets (single and recurring premiums) while promoting the Sanlam brand.
    • Ensure all client engagements adhere to Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  • Networking, Prospecting, and Lead Generation

    • Engage in face-to-face interactions to create business opportunities.
    • Leverage social media, referrals, and existing relationships to expand your client base.
    • Identify sales opportunities through targeted client-focused campaigns.
    • Monitor client activities to retain and grow business.
  • Client Consultations and Sales

    • Conduct compliant and thorough financial needs analysis.
    • Present tailored financial solutions professionally.
    • Maintain accurate client records and review portfolios annually.
  • Client Service

    • Deliver excellent, ethical, and professional service to build long-term client loyalty.
    • Resolve client queries promptly and proactively.
    • Stay updated on industry trends to provide informed advice.
  • Reporting and Administration

    • Track client interactions, issued business, and revenue against targets.
    • Update client details and workflow systems regularly.

Qualification and Experience

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and Regulatory Examination completed if registered with the FSCA for over 24 months.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Financial advisory and client relationship management.
  • Sales target achievement and compliance adherence.
  • Financial planning and risk management.

  • Action-oriented with persuasive abilities.
  • Tech-savvy and confident in financial systems.
