Business Development Manager – DSV Vacancies

Main Purpose of the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for securing new business opportunities within the Commodity Sector, aligned to the organisation’s preferred client profile, while consistently achieving gross profit targets as defined in the Sales Contract.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline

  • Identify, manage, and convert new business opportunities

  • Manage accounts, opportunities, and productivity using Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  • Successfully onboard and implement new customers

  • Maintain an effective and structured sales diary

  • Build and sustain strategic relationships at multiple levels within customer organisations

  • Apply a consultative selling approach to strengthen DSV’s supply chain solutions

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and gross profit targets

  • Meet weekly and monthly call and activity targets

Qualifications

  • National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or BTech qualification advantageous

Computer Skills

  • MS Outlook

  • MS Word

  • MS PowerPoint

  • MS Excel

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is advantageous

Job-Related Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ sales experience within Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or Shipping Line environments

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior management

  • Confident in delivering presentations when required

  • Professional appearance and presentation

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Strong hunter mentality with a results-driven approach

  • Excellent coordination, organisational, and administrative skills

  • Well-established network within the Commodity sector

  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and collaborate internally with operations and support teams

  • Highly driven, ambitious, and performance-focused
